Recycled 925 Sterling silver
All our jewelry is made out of 100% recycled 925 Sterling silver. This precious metal makes our products naturally durable, timeless and recyclable. Our alloy supplier in Småland, Sweden, has analysis tools in their workshop and in addition to their controls, the Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE) is a third-party organization that verifies all the alloys. Conflict-free diamonds
All the diamonds and precious stones in our jewelry are conflict-free, according to The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS). Meaning that we only use gems, which have not contributed to conflict or violated fair trade. In addition, we also require our gem suppliers to be certified members of The Responsible Jewelry Council (RJC)
Swedish craftsmanship & sourcing
We only work with Swedish suppliers to achieve short shipping distances and efficient handling in order to minimize the environmental impact of our supply chain and to be able to ensure fair trade. All our jewelry is handcrafted or sourced within Sweden. All our production is therefore regulated by Swedish Law. The Swedish occupational health and safety laws are among the strictest in the world. They ensure, among other things, that there is absolutely no occurrence of child labor, unhealthy working conditions or discrimination in the labor market. Generally, it is said that Swedish worker culture affirms openness and respect between manager and worker. In addition, Sweden is one of the world-leading countries in terms of equality and active work against discrimination
Recycling and repurposing returned products
As part of our effort to create a circular product cycle, returned jewelry is once a year melted down and repurposed into new jewelry with almost no material waste. This is one of the benefits of only working with precious 925 Sterling silver – our jewelry can be recycled time after time again. In addition to our recycling we also have a Replacement Program. While recycling returned jewelry we take the opportunity to send new replacement products to customers who have reported the loss of their Quaade jewelry, free of charge
Product packaging
Our jewelry is shipped in eco-friendly cotton bags and cardboard boxes, which are both biodegradable and can be recycled after use. With the cotton bags and cardboard boxes we have eliminated the use of plastic in our product packaging. We source our materials from Swedish suppliers to reduce the distance they need to be shipped. By working closely with our suppliers we ensure that we are adhering to sustainability responsible practices. As a result, all our packaging components are eco-stamped and do not cause microplastic pollution
Rings
Our rings are made to order and handcrafted in a small village in Småland, Sweden to minimize overproduction and waste. Upon your order, the material is locally mixed at our production site and samples are taken to ensure quality. The ring is carefully handmade and forged to the right model and size. The ring is then imprinted with our stamp, engraved with your unique engraving, and polished. Lastly, we perform a quality control to make sure that your ring meets our quality standards
Necklaces
Our necklaces are assembled to order at Quaade to achieve minimal overproduction and waste. The chain is sourced from a Swedish supplier and the Quaade-tag is handmade in Sweden. When you order, we assemble your necklace and perform a quality control before it is shipped to you
